The England national team will embark on their 2028 European Championship adventure at the Etihad Stadium, provided that they achieve the relatively straightforward qualification for a competition hosted across the majority of the UK and the Irish Republic.

Manchester City’s home ground has not staged an England men’s fixture since eight years ago, when the visitors were beaten 2-1 in a exhibition match, but is almost certain to host the national team for their inaugural game on June 10, 2028.

England are set to play their concluding group fixtures at Wembley, but, if they top the preliminary round, their knockout stage opener would be held at Newcastle’s St James’ Park. Finishing second would mean commencing the elimination stage at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.
